This site already gives a tremendous amount of information regarding Ushaw Moor. In the case of the Jolly families we have several postings:
    16/07/08 A 1928 reference to ‘Young Jolly’
    13/05/08 Mentions some Victorian Jollys’
    22/10/06 Professional footballer Harry Jolly
01/04/07 Mentions Ray Jolly [Geoff Turner article]
    There may be more.
Usahw Moor’s history is there on site all to be discovered with your computer mouse!
My uncle is Norman Hope and he was a cycling friend of Ray Jolly.

If you put in a general search on Google – ie Jolly Ushaw Moor – you get lots of Jolly on the first page – for example:
Dee writes about the old times [23/06/07]- There is also a newspaper article about 100 year old Jack Jolly from Ushaw Moor!
