Passing of the Reverend Terence Towers

TOWERS On January 20, peacefully in hospital, of Langley Park, Reverend Terence, aged 80 years, (former vicar of St. Lukes, Ushaw Moor, 1967 – 1993). Dearly beloved husband of Brenda, father of Amanda and Anthony. Friends please meet for service in All Saints Parish Church, Lanch-ester, on Thursday, January 30, at 11.15am., interment to follow in Langley Park Cemetery. Family flowers only please, donations in lieu if desired to The British Heart Foun-dation.

    Sad news, what a nice man and supporter of the village. Always had time for a chat and worked for the community. A sad loss indeed.

    r.i.p.mr towers can rememberyou well when we all lived in ladysmith terrace and u and your family lived in the vicaridge at top of street loved running through your secret garden god bless x

    Thankyou all so much for your kind comments. They are a great help at this sad time. His health had been deteriorating for some time, but he remained cheerful and caring until the end.
