This is my first pigeon loft at Ushaw Moor,i took this photo of my cousin Alan Rothwell and Ray Pearson in the early fifties. I don not know how it got on here!!
Hi Alf, and thanks for your comments, I was looking thru photos I had on my PC under Ushaw various and came across this photo, I guess I must of downloaded it from somewhere,,, I hope u don’t mind it being on here.

I noticed you rreply about the pigeon cree and wonder if you have any old school photographs that might have your dad/grandad on? I don’t mind at all Paul.I had to laugh when I saw it on here it was a bit of iglldy pigildy old Cree.The last one I owned was very modern on the allotment behind Whitley Bay Football ground.I used to work with Raymond Ayre and I can remember him playing for Whitley Bay many years ago.Ray married Moira Harwood and the last time I spoke with them was years ago in their house near Ushaw Moor cricket Club. I think Ray is on one of the Photo’s in the Club House. Alf R

Hello Trina, There are some photo’s on this site,(1) is THE WORKING MENS CLUB STAFF & OFFICIALS.(2) Durham Big Meeting where Valerie will recognise lots of Ushaw Moor people in front of the Banner.
